At Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) we are looking for innovative ways to improve the lives of our nation’s service members, veterans and their families by advancing excellence in psychological health and traumatic brain injury prevention and care.

Nearly one in five adults in the United States lives with mental health issues1 and 1.7 million people face a TBI each year.2 Gaps in identification and treatment have profound implications. Approximately 60 percent of adults coping with psychological concerns received no mental health services in the previous year.3
