As a Vietnam Vet, with PTSD and TBI, as i went in to the VA for mental health help all they wanted to do was put me on drugs with out ever seeing a dr. for an evaluation. Not everyone with PTSD or TBI needs drugs. I refused the drugs and never went back.

Enhanced training in Combat Operational Stress leadership

Many service members who have PTSD symptoms do not seek mental health care. Certain leader behaviors and attitudes are associated with subordinates' mental health and willingness to seek care. Enhanced training for leaders in those behaviors and attitudes can increase service members' help-seeking.
